Very tight spots for large rigs. In fact, if the place was even sort of full, we wouldn't have been able to attempt our site. It's not just that the sites are a bit narrow and short, but the access roads are really narrow leaving little maneuvering room. The premium sites on the ends of the rows are the only ones easy to get in and out of. The place is pricey especially this time of year as most of the facilities are locked tight (pool, spa) And it's $3 a day for the dog. We only stayed one night, and we probably won't be back.
We loved this park. The price reflects Go America discount through Resort Parks International. It has very fast internet. There are nice roomy drive through sites. We were in the front, the back sites are very close to Highway. There are lots of really neat large redwood trees. Our only issue was our location right next to a very large diesel generator which kicks on when if the power dies - which it did for a few moments during a storm. We love the idea of always having power, but that sucker is very NOISY! There is a complete recycling center and the park has very nice cabins. We'd go back anytime!
This park is excellent. Large roomy sites. Spotless restrooms and laundry rooms. Cable TV is great. The wireless internet needs some work - reception is spotty. But our air card worked great. Ocean view is fabulous. Staff was friendly and helpful. Weather this time of year is wet, but who care with that view!
Fall is a wonderful time to be here. The riding was great - miles and miles of trails offering fabulous views. If you don't like off road vehicles however, this might not be the place for you. Spots are adequate in size. We enjoyed the hospitality of the staff and the free hot dogs during Monday nite football. Wifi in the lodge is adequate. Our rate reflects Resort Parks International. We'll be back next year.
This is a fine place for short stays. The site was easy and adequate, although not all that large. Cable TV would have been nice, but not offered. Staff very friendly and helpful. Good location for visiting Richardson Grove State Park and surrounding area. We had the Good Sams discount. Bathrooms were older but very clean.
The park was well-kept, but there isn't much to keep anyone busy. There's a section of river rafting which is nice, but no pool. It was perfect for a short stopover and while there was no sewer, there was an easy dump station on the way out. We had a nice shady drive-through site, although it bordered a hill with lots of poison oak. The location is good for great wine tasting, but there's little else close by. Inexpensive laundry with new front-load machines. WIFI in office only, but it seemed to work okay. Cell service was iffy, but seemed to work if I walked around the park a bit. Staff very friendly and helpful. We would return if in the area.
We really like this park with the complete privacy of sites. We made our reservations late and didn't have those sites (we were close to the tents) but ours was fine and the weather was great. They charge extra for 50 amp, but if not running the air, who needs it? The place was spotless. Didn't use the showers, but they are coin operated to save water - I guess. We'll return. We camped in a fifth wheel.
Rate reflects $10 nightly for the dog, which we thought was a bit high. The staff was very helpful and friendly which helped since we had power issues and it was very hot. It's a busy place on the weekends in the summer. The beach was okay as Clear Lake isn't very clear around the edges during the summer. Nice dock. Great pool. The access road to the campground gets a little narrow for big rigs.
We stayed only two nights and didn't have reservations. For some reason, we weren't in the computer so they tried to re-assign our site about 5 times to someone else. But the security guy straightened it out. Kind of a hassle, but it all worked out. We had a very nice site but the park needs some trimming as it really seems to be a fire hazard. The fire pits are nothing but a ring of rocks. Otherwise, it was fine.
Stayed in the north loop which was a bit of a challenge for our big 5er. But the area was roomy and quiet compared to the RV loop around the store. It was central to many side trips. BUT the mosquitos are HORRIBLE!! or at least they were in June
This was an overnight stop before joining up with family. Easy in and out and we didn't have to unhook the truck so it fit our needs. We'd stay again if we were in the area. It was mainly just gravel driveways. But they do have a great dog run area which was appreciated!
We didn't have an ocean view site, but had plenty of room. Only used the restroom once, and it really needs serious updating. Can't beat the location, but over the Pres weekend it was NOISY with a big birthday party. We'd stay again but ocean side and not on a holiday weekend! We did pick up free wifi, although don't think it was through the park.
This lake, located off the beaten path is for those who like to fish as they heavily plant the lake with trout. We stayed in the dry camp. There is only 12 with hookups. There is room for some larger rigs. In the dry hookup area, there are only portable toilets which are spotless. The main restroom and shower complex is a distance away near the boat ramp. This is mostly a spring destination as the summer can be very hot and the lake is only for fishing. There are two swimming pools open during the summer and a nice cafe. The sites are rural, gravel and grass with firepits and picnic tables.
We used it as a stopover to and from Arizona. Easy access, plenty of room for extra vehicle and quad trailer (note: in addition to 5er and truck) It was a spotless park. There's traffic noise, but it's fine for an overnite.
